Mara Haseltine

Environmental Artist and Professor at The New School

Mara Haseltine is featured in SHELLSHOCKED: Saving Oysters to Save Ourselves teaching her New School class to make porcelain oyster shells. She and her students test shells made of porcelain, marble, aragonite and other materials to find out which substrates oyster larva like to settle on. Mara used her porcelain oyster shells to make additional large scale sculptures not seen in SHELLSHOCKED.

Check out Mara's website to see all her environmental sculptures.
